Cobalt phosphite (Co11(HPO3)8(OH)6) microarchitectures assembledby ultralong nanoribbons are successfully synthesized by a mildhydrothermal condition without any additives. The uniform ultralongnanoribbon has a width of 100 nm and length of 20–30 mm.More importantly, Co11(HPO3)8(OH)6 microarchitectures are alsosuccessfully applied as an electrochemical supercapacitor with a goodspecific capacitance (312 F g1 at 1.25 A g1), good rate capabilityand excellent cycling property (maintaining about 89.4% at 1.25 Ag1 after 3000 cycles).
